Retirement Process

San Address Fire And Rescue (SAFR) acknowledges that circumstances may arise preventing members from continuing their service. We deeply appreciate the time and effort our members dedicate to serving the people of San Andres. If you find yourself unable to continue your service with SAFR, please inform the command staff as soon as possible.

Returning to Duty

SAFR recognizes that life circumstances can change. Former members wishing to rejoin our ranks are welcome to apply for reinstatement. Please note that a full retraining program may be required to ensure all returning members are up-to-date with current protocols and procedures.

Honorary Members

SAFR has established an Honorary Member rank for select individuals who have demonstrated exceptional service. Honorary Members retain the privilege of returning to active duty at their discretion, allowing them to respond to calls as if they were current active members.

To be considered for Honorary Member status:

  1. Contact the command staff prior to your retirement.
  2. Your service record and contributions to SAFR will be reviewed.
  3. If approved, you will be granted a position on our Honorary Team.

Honorary Members should maintain regular contact with SAFR to stay informed of any significant changes in protocols or procedures.

For any questions regarding retirement, reinstatement, or Honorary Member status, please contact the SAFR command staff.
