1. Patient Arrival and Initial Assessment
1.1. Patients may arrive via ambulance or as walk-ins.
1.2. For walk-in patients:
- Direct them to the triage nurse at the reception area.
- Triage nurse to perform initial assessment and assign appropriate triage level.
1.3. For patients arriving by ambulance:
- Receive patient handover from EMS team.
- Quickly assess if immediate intervention is required.
- If needed, proceed directly to the trauma room.
- Otherwise, conduct triage assessment.
2. Triage Process
2.1. Assess patient and assign a hospital triage level:
- Red: Immediate life-threatening conditions
- Orange: Very urgent cases
- Yellow: Urgent cases
- Green: Standard cases
- Blue: Non-urgent cases
2.2. Prioritize treatment based on triage level.
3. EMS Involvement in Hospital Care
3.1. EMS team members with appropriate level of training may continue patient care within Pillbox.
