1. Interview Process
1.1. Begin by thanking the candidate for their interest in SAFR.
1.2. Explain that cross-cousin behavior and corruption will not be tolerated.
1.3. Inform the candidate that if accepted, they must review SAFR SOPs immediately.
1.4. If denied, candidates may reapply after 1 week.
1.5. Conduct the interview, asking the following questions:
- How many hours can you commit to SAFR weekly? (Minimum 5 hours)
- Tell me about your backstory.
- What motivated you to join SAFR?
- Do you have any prior EMS experience?
- Are you interested in hospital work or assisting the Fire Department?
- Describe yourself in one word.
- What are two of your strengths?
- What are two of your weaknesses?
1.6. Scenario-based questions:
- How would you approach a scene with multiple casualties?
- How do you handle rapidly deteriorating patient conditions?
- Describe a time when you made a critical decision under pressure.
